some random thoughts, cuz i feel nauseous and my brain does not compute:

• I wonder how people brushed their teeth back in the day? did their breath stank? what was the standard?

• also…I feel like technology keeps advancing and thinking of the industrial revolution, it was all about productivity..and now it still feels like that, but also developing ways to make our lives easier, or rather allowing us to not make much effort. but what happens when there’s a gadget for everything?

  • i was thinking of back in the day when there was no computer and you basically had to type a thesis on a typewriter and had to reserve books months in advance to make sure you had your material.

    • i guess that also means that they had a limited scope…not having access to much info…

      • so there are some good sides to technology, obvi

        • i just wonder how do we know when it’s too much? how do we make sure there’s a balance?

i did 2 loads today.

but then again, they’ve been having sex so loud I had to put an angry rap playlist playing full volume on my phone that I put directly on the ground. they didn’t continue for that long. hopefully they got the message.

today i was dreaming about a home. ahhh. it’d be great to have a home with a backyard. a big open kitchen. big windows.

i gotta reframe my thoughts and what i say because it’s energy that can contribute to manifesting what i want…so it WILL be amazing to have that home. let’s not worry about how to get there, and just get ready to receive and be there.

back to my laundry. is powder or liquid detergent better? i don’t know why, I just went with powder, even though i used to take the liquid when I was using my buildin'g’s laundry.

I just did a meal prep…for breakfast!!! Do people do that?? I don’t know, but I made too much porridge this week and it felt so good to already have something to heat up and start the day on the right foot. Soooo I had to keep it going. I made lots of crepes.

What’d you say???? Yeah, #adulting.

My Christmas tree is still up tho.

But I’ve been doing lots of laundry these past few days (CUZ U KNOE, NEW WASHER OR WHATEVAA)…

And I need to get a clothesline so that I stop hanging clothes to dry on my wooden chairs.

random thought of the day

Funny how (am I really laughing tho?) I see how I’m becoming like my mom in certain ways. I just looked up “antique kettle” on kijiji, searching for a type of copper antique model that could be one statement piece in my kitchen decor. excuse me, wah? she’s the queen of kijiji + queen of antiques. I used to think it was “old”, so “passé”….and here I am following in her footsteps. I love a good mix of antique and modern. I guess my style is fluid in various ways. and I want to embrace that as something beautiful.

some random gratitude of the day

Today, I feel grateful. My day started on the right foot with such an inspiring meeting that made me feel seen, and heard. I also feel grateful for hugs. Hugs from the ones you love are priceless. I got 3 today.

I guess fluidity is also moving with the flow without constraining myself.

I had an assignment due today. I have been stressing out about it and that was kinda blocking me from starting?? ahhhh. I had a talk w ma best friend and she reminded me how the work that I do and what I critique about the imbalance in power structures, and all the oppression that impact someone’s day to day also applies to me…it’s like I’ve been reading and reading about Black feminism, intersectionality, and all the things and really relating to it but somehow I had separated myself from it?? interesting (hm..ok, is it really?) contradiction. so yeah. it was reassuring.

reminder to be gentle. reminder that perfection doesn’t exist. reminder that the day to day isn’t comprised of unlimited time that I can dedicate to my masters. reminder that my masters is also there to accompany me as I find myself in the routines and rhythm that fit me best, the grounding ones, the ones that promote my wellbeing.

also. early 00s reggaeton was the da shit. I love how I can appreciate so many kinds of music and various types of humour. I’m kinda picky for food tho. Oops!
